After my presentation on #HeartyMart, someone from the audience questioned me about the number of stores I have in my retail chain. According to him 16 stores in 16 years was too less. And I agreed with him. I said I am a tortoise, I love to travel at my pace and win.
To earn success in your business, you need to have clarity of thoughts. It is always good to seek advice and discuss, but eventually you do what your gut says. That way you would own up to your success/failure.
People think that I own a retail chain, technically it is wrong. I own a retail brand. I lease the brand, retail ecosystem and generate and support a retail #entrepreneur. If you look at from that perspective you would understand my vision.
In my retail franchisee model, the owners run their retail store, under our guidance. They have to recruit their man power and manage the show. It is basically an entrepreneur driven SBU (Strategic Business Unit). Hence managing and guiding these 16 stores is a task in itself.
People might ask then how would I grow? For all these retail franchisee stores, slowly we have started creating products. We own a bakery unit, spices manufacturing unit with ISO certification and export license in place.
These companies are again guided by #HeartyMart. There are such 9 companies owned by Micro Entrepreneurs. These micro entrepreneurs works to create their own market apart from providing products to hotels and our franchisee.
Hearty Mart might think of an IPO, not so early though, but not for retail stores, but for creating quality retail products mainly in food grocery domain. We plan to go Pan India and International market with these products.
