Is it a rule of the industry that every #startup idea should be a scalable idea? or generating a decent revenue and creating employment is equally good and exciting? Why the ideas have to be judged on the parameter of they becoming unicorns?
Why not promote small businesses and make them more organised by using all the tools at our disposal? How about making already existing business venture and helping it scale up to a decent growth? The idea can be run-of-the-mill, but perhaps the aspiring #entrepreneur has the inherent strength to scale up the idea to next level, generate enough profits to sustain himself, create employment for few 100s. And earn his livelihood through organic growth? Doesn’t this sound exciting? Isn’t this growth?
There is a need of #incubation centres and #mentors, who can work with grassroots ventures in rural set-up. Ventures like say a mobile repairing centre or any seemingly menial business, hand-hold them and take that venture to a next level. That would be the real growth. Perhaps we might establish such centres across Talukas & rural centres.
If we seriously work on this aspect, we can bring in real difference in the #startup industry and we might be create more SMEs out of these #microentreprises.
